A day in Pleasant summerhouse: Upcycled jackets, black coffee and cinnamon sticks

Welcome inside Pleasant Summerhouse, an idyllic 70s-inspired retreat nestled alongside nature. Here we spent a day in our upcycled jackets with freshly brewed coffee and cinnamon sticks.

Add an upcycled jacket to your wardrobe.

Minimize the CO2 emissions of your clothes.

Avoid large amounts of water and chemicals.

Support a future with less textile needs.

Pleasant is a clothing brand that upcycles and makes new clothes from used textiles. Good style with a good conscience.

We visited the summer house to shoot some photos of our latest range of upcycled jackets made from used textiles, including curtains. For Pleasant, it's all about challenging the clothing world and showing that you can make clothes with a minimal environmental footprint and maximum joy.

With a vinyl on the system and the smell of freshly brewed coffee and cinnamon sticks in the air, we took our time to enjoy the present. We are happy to think differently if it has a better outcome. There is no such thing as sustainable clothing. But if we can make jackets from used curtains and give them a new long life, we are moving in a good direction.

Thank you to Pleasant summerhouse for opening its doors and welcoming us to a place where life is pleasant.

Upcycling means taking an existing textile product and turning it into a new one of higher value. We use recycled duvet covers, curtains and tablecloths that have already been through one or more life cycles and turn them into new clothing.
